Honored to be part of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of CSIS Smart Women, Smart Power Initiative. As a founding supporter of this initiative, I’ve long said that women supporting women is critical to our success, but Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) took it a step further. They created a platform that gives us the space to be heard— a space to amplify leading women’s voices in the world of national security and international affairs.

It was an incredible experience to participate in a panel focused on my own work in national security, specifically on the response to the crisis in Ukraine and Lockheed Martin’s work to ramp production of in-demand 21st Century Security systems like HIMARS, GMLRS, Javelin and more.

A huge thank you to Kathleen J. McInnis, Ph.D. for building upon the legacy that Nina Easton and Beverly Kirk launched 10 years ago. The report she and Alexis Day published, “What Difference Does It Make,” demonstrates why it’s so critical to have women in all the places decisions are made. It is a must-read linked here: https://lnkd.in/eGEFNcVh

It was a privilege to celebrate with you all and witness the incredible strides this initiative has made. Looking forward to what will be accomplished in the next 10 years!
